A little about PHC

The Portland Hurling Club was formed in 2007 and has competed as a part of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 2008 as Maine's only registered GAA club. Our travel team is a member of the Boston/Northeast region 'Jr. C' division and plays regular season matches against teams from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. In 2015 Portland won the division championship. On the national level, PHC has played in seven states and Canada and the club has represented New England at the North American Championships five times, winning the shield trophy in San Francisco in 2011 and in Philadelphia in 2012. The club made it to the semi-finals in Chicago in 2015 and hope to bring hope a national title from Seattle this year!

Since 2010 the PHC has offered a local Wednesday night pub league. This league has proven to be a great way to introduce new players to the sport, train for upcoming travel team matches, and have a bit of fun. New players and spectators are always welcome.

All of our home games, pub league, and training take place at the Wainwright Athletic Complex in South Portland, Maine.
